    Details

Dyfnant and Vyrnwy Forests are located in a part of Mid Wales renowned for its rolling hills, lush green valleys and picturesque farmsteads and villages. Owain Glyndwr, the Welsh Prince who fought for Welsh independence and united Wales, once rode these hills. Dyfnant Forest itself is an upland coniferous (trees with cones) forest with open areas and streams for you to enjoy.

Dyfnant Forest is home to the Dyfnant Rainbow Trails, designed with horses in mind but also welcoming walkers. Penyffordd Car Park is purpose built for horseriders with a one way system that allows drivers of horse boxes a roll in roll out system.

There is ample parking for horse trailers and cars, as well as a corral for horses.
