Situated close to Penpentre Farmhouse in Llanfihangel-Nant-Bran, the heart of a rural community spread along the seven miles of the Bran valley.
The Granary Flat and Malt House are the ideal base for open air activities of all kinds and for exploring an unspoilt region of outstanding beauty just off the northern fringe of the Brecon Beacons National Park.

From Brecon take the A40 West, towards Llandovery. After passing through Llanspyddid (2miles), turn right at Aberbran (4 miles) over River Usk to a 'T' junction. Turn right for ½ mile, then sharp left, signposted 'Llanfihangel-Nant-Bran 4 miles'. Winding up the valley through the village of Soar, another 1 ½ miles and you will come into Llanfihangel-Nant-Bran. Turn at the first right, signed Gwarllan, Penpentre and The Granary and you have arrived in another world.

The Granary is approached from the through road to our farm. Parking is 10 meters away on a slight slope. Access to childrens play area on a slightly sloping lawn with slide, playhouse and picnic table, OR, down 5 steps to a stoned picnic area. There is no public transport. We have stables to store bicycles in. Entrance via an exterior stone stairway. Step up to doorway – open plan sitting / dining / kitchen. Sitting area with 2 seater sofa & 2 easy chairs. Access to family bedroom – step down. This room has double and single beds. Second bedroom has two single beds with wash basin non feather pillows and duvets with poly-cotton covers and sheets. Remote control TV, Video, DVD, CD players. Standard sized washing machine with separate tumble dryer. Light switches and power points at a sensible height. No mobile reception in village. There is a telephone kiosk, 20 meters from the apartment. The owners live on site and are available to assist whenever possible, with the option of Bed & Breakfast and evening meals. Nearest garage, small shops and Post Office 4.5 miles away.
