The Dyfi Biosphere is part of a network of UNESCO 'Biosphere Reserves' throughout the world where information and experiences can be shared and new ideas explored. Others include the Central Amazon, Niagara Escarpment and Gran Canaria!

The Dyfi Forest is located mainly to the north of the Afon Dyfi between Dolgellau to the north and Machynlleth to the south. Dyfi is a 6000ha forest - a spectacular landscape well worth exploring.

 

Nant Gwernol, a rocky river gorge & waterfalls, lies above the picturesque Tal-y-llyn valley in the shadow of Cader Idris. The trails follow the riverside and explore the remains of Bryn Eglwys Slate Quarry.

Cors Dyfi is closed whilst we build our new Dyfi Wildlife Centre. The Cors Dyfi reserve is a mixture of bog, swamp, wet woodland and scrub supporting a plethora of animals and plants, including the magnificent Osprey.
