Your COVID-19 guide to Visiting Mid Wales

Let's make a promise together

This is your time to slow down.
To pause. To appreciate this corner of the world that we call home.

We have been reminded of the things we hold dear...
Ein bro a’n byd — our community, and our world.

And now we pledge to look after those things:

To protect the beauty that’s around us.
To tell the stories that shape us.
To care for those who live and visit here.

As we dip our toes in the sea, dust off our walking boots, or set out on an epic adventure, let's make a promise together — to do the little things that will make a big difference.

Welsh Government Advice

You are advised to:
  • Take a rapid lateral flow test at home before travelling and to bring kits to continue testing while on holiday.
  • Wear a face covering where required.
  • Wash your hands regularly.
  • Stay 2 metres from anyone you do not live with.
  • Self-isolate when told to do so by NHS Wales Test, Trace, Protect

Booking Accommodation

All accommodation sectors are now able to reopen in Wales

Members of your extended household, or a maximum of six people from up to six households (not including children under 11 from any of these households or carers of anyone present) can meet indoors and stay overnight in holiday accommodation.

Extended households and support bubbles may stay and book shared accommodation together.

The size of extended households has increased to up to three households, and a further household with a single adult or single adult with caring responsibilities will also be able to join.

Support bubbles can be formed by a household that meets one of the following criteria:

  • households where one adult lives alone
  • households where there is a single responsible adult (for example, where one adult lives with any number of children under 18, or where more than one adult lives, but one adult has caring responsibilities for all of the other adults in the home
  • households with one or more children under the age of 1 year old
  • you are 16 or 17 living alone, or with others of the same age, with no adult

Bars, Restaurants & Cafes

Bars, Restaurants & Cafes have now reopened indoors and outdoors, but we do have a few requirements to keep everyone safe:

  • Stay seated at your table unless going to the bathroom
  • Masks must be worn unless seated at a table
  • Tables of 6 only (except for children under 11)
  • Fill in the track and trace forms for EVERY MEMBER of your party and not just the lead guest (except for children under 11)
  • Keep your hands clean
  • Be courteous and aware of others around you
  • Listen to the staff and follow their requests
