Morning

Setting off from Aberystwyth in the morning, decide how energetic you feel! Visit the Hafod Estate for a selection of walks around this partially restored estate. For a gentler start to the day head over the A44 to Llanidloes, stop for a leg stretch at Bwlch Nant yr Arian, a beautiful forestry site with walks, cycle trails, birdwatching and a cafe for a morning coffee.

A stunning drive over the mountains completes the day, passing through Llandinam spot the statue of David Davies on the bridge or visit Broneirion for afternoon tea.

Alternatively continue on toward Newtown and have a look in the Oriel Davies Gallery, the Newtown Textile Museum, The Robert Owen Museum carry on to Gregynog Hall & Gardens and a wander through their beautiful woodland gardens.
