About

Mid Wales Tours is the only licenced tour guiding company in the UK providing clients with fully guided tours on a motorcycle and sidecar. The sidecar tours are for a maximum of two people one in the sidecar and one as a pillion passenger.

Let Sean drive you around while you enjoy your holiday without the hassle of driving around on the 'wrong side of the road' while trying to find your way from one place to the next. Sean was a Class One advanced police driver for twenty five years and you will be very safe in his hands.

Green Badge Tour Guide
Sean, is a member of Wales' Official Tourist Guides Association, qualified to provide, coach tours, walking and site tours. A former police motorcycle patrol rider, Sean has set up a unique experience, based in Aberystwyth, providing motorcycle and sidecar tours in Mid and North Wales.

Motorcycle & Side Car Tours
The motorcycle providing the power is a Triumph Scrambler XC 1200. The sidecar has been factory fitted to the motorcycle and is fully compliant with all construction and use regulations. The sidecar is fitted with a lap belt for client safety and comfort and was made by Watsonian Squire from Morton in Marsh, a company who have been making sidecars since 1910.

Customers are equipped with radios and Sean provides a commentary as you  travel around the countryside. Helmets and wet weather clothing can also be provided if required.

Tours run between Easter and the end of October and, when weather permits, during the winter period. The tours offer a great day our for couples celebrating anniversaries, birthdays, or other special occasions.

Driver Guided Tours  - max 4 persons
Mid Wales Tours have expanded its fleet to include a Ford Edge five seater SUV to carry out private driver guiding for four guests. Mid Wales Tours vehicle will carry four guests and their luggage in comfort while they have a guided tour around Mid and North Wales.  The vehicle is licensed as a private hire vehicle by Ceredigion County Council and is fully insured to carry paying passengers.

Mid Wales Tours allow visitors to experience the Mid Wales mountains, lakes, scenery and highways and byways from a totally different perspective - smell, hear and see things you wouldn’t experience in an air-conditioned car. It’s all about the journey rather than the destination.

Sean stops at lots of places for photo opportunities and travel along roads that most people wouldn’t go on and, having spent 30 years as a police officer in Mid Wales, Sean has plenty of stories to share with customers.
