Start to the L of the chapel in Tre’r Ddol to follow a waymarked track. Soon turn R past chapel to follow the path into the woods. Continue until you reach a fork in the path, then turn R through a G. Walk directly ahead through two Gs, before walking up a steep section A round sharp bends to exit the woodland through a G.

Follow the track ahead and on through an opening in the fence to walk directly across a field along a raised embankment over a stream and through a G. Walk up through the trees and ahead alongside a fence on the R to join a track. Continue ahead to go through two Gs before passing Gwar Cwm Uchaf farm to reach a tarmac lane.

Turn L and then R up a track to go through a G. Follow the tree-lined path upwards until you reach a G onto a track. Turn R here to follow the tarmac road through two Gs B. At the junction, continue down the road, ignoring a turning on the L for Pensarn Farm to go R through a G. Ignore turning on L and follow the RH track down through another G by a small quarry before turning R.

Follow the track through a second G, turning L just before a third G to climb a stile in the far corner of the field. Walk ahead with the fence on your R through 2 Gs along a track to reach an old ruin on your L C.

Facing the sea and keeping the ruin on your L walk downhill towards a marker post and then on to another at the edge of woodland. Follow the path down through the trees in the same direction. Before you reach a G, turn R down a path with the fence on your L between two tips. Go over S and walk downhill to cross another S before turning R at the track
junction. Follow the track L around a sweeping bend, and down to cross over a forestry track to follow a path down through the trees.

When you reach the bottom of the woodland, turn R to follow the path along the edge of the woodland before eventually going up some steps. Turn L and continue to a G. Do not go through but bear R to follow a path along the side of the wood. When you arrive at a path junction, turn L to go through a G, before retracing your route back to the village.
