Details

Now in its second year, Monty Lit Fest celebrates authors in
Wales and the Welsh borders, with an annual festival circulating
through key locations in Montgomeryshire. This year, the Festival
will take place in the splendid surroundings of Gregynog Hall,
near Newtown.
We are pleased to welcome a stellar line up of leading literary
talent including Sir Simon Jenkins, Clare Mackintosh and Horatio
Clare, alongside lunchtime sessions for aspiring authors and a
free lunchtime concert of harp music.
Our authors will also be on hand to sign copies of their
books for you to purchase from a pop-up bookstore at the
Festival provided by Oswestry’s award-winning independent
Booka Bookshop.
The Children’s Programme will run parallel with that of the main
authors and will be organised by Woodland Pack Company
- www.woodlandpack.co.uk. They will run nature-based
activities from their outdoor bell tent, including crafts, games,
poetry writing and story time with authors including Matt Sewell,
Elizabeth Garner and Myfanwy Alexander.
We are very grateful to our sponsors: Luned and David Corser,
The Welsh Historic Gardens Trust and Field Mouse Research
(to take part in paid market research, email hello@fmresearch.
co.uk).
