Montgomery Town at Xmas
Details
In 1227 Montgomery was granted a royal charter to hold regular fairs and markets and the market has been held on Broad Street and in the Town Hall since its construction in 1748. Located in the middle of the crossing point between the town’s main streets, the hall originally had an open ground floor open area where, as today, market stalls were laid out.
Montgomery Market is open each Thursday no matter what the weather, so come along and have a browse, choose something from the local produce and crafts on offer, enjoy the colour and atmosphere, catch up on the local gossip and immerse yourself in the community that is typical of Montgomery.
