Sesiwn Fawr 2022 at Dolgellau

Sesiwn Fawr is an annual festival that attracts thousands of people to Dolgellau to enjoy the best of folk and Welsh music as well as traditional Welsh Dance, literature, children's activities and comedy, food and drink.

Full line-up and schedule are now available at sesiwnfawr.cymru. 54 bands will be performing across nine stages bringing an eclectic mix of folk, rock and world music to the town.

During the festival, Dolgellau is bursting at the seams with events being held in various venues across the town.

If you’re a musician who would like to play in front of an audience, there will be a busking stage on the Square where you could perform in front of the crowd.

A host of events for children and families will be held during the weekend. The whole of Saturday afternoon will be held on the Sgwâr with a ‘twmpath dawns’ (much like a ceilidh), a procession following two local folk tales, storytelling sessions, and more, and all of which is free!
