Yr Hen Stablau Holiday Cottages ( The Old Stables ) are located in scenic Devils Bridge an area of outstanding natural beauty. The four individual, well equiped stone properties have been designed for your comfort with a home away from home feel. Each cottage is designed for two adults and three of the cottages also allow one well behaved dog. The properties have a well equipped kitchen and spacious dining/lounge area and a double bedroom with bathroom en suite ( good shower over bath ). The cottages are fully central heated and come with flat screen TV and wi-fi. A Washer and Dryer are provided for guests use together with secure bike storage in a seperate building.
Just relax and enjoy the stunning scenary of Ceredigion ( one of the least populated areas in the whole of the UK )
Our cottages are however only a short walk to the Historic Hafod Hotel for a drink or a good meal if you want a change from cooking. On the occasion you want a great choice of shops, cafes and restaurants why not visit the Historic seaside town of Aberystwyth only a scenic 20 minute drive.
The area and local village is a popular tourist destination, best known for it's spectacular waterfalls. The River Mynach flows below the three bridges built on top of one another, after which the village was named, before dropping 300ft in five steps into a narrow ravine before it meets the River Rheidol. The popular BBC Welsh crime drama Hinterland was filmed on location in and around the local area.
Devil's bridge is the ideal base for exploring the rural Heart of Wales, with many and varied walking and biking possibilities from the village, and so much to explore within a short drive, including the Elan Valley, Hafod Estate, Plynlimon and the Ceredigion coast.
Our village is the terminus of the Vale of Rheidol narrow gauge railway line which runs from April to October.
Not far away is Aberystwyth a thriving university town with a lovely sandy beach, marina, castle ruins and plenty of places to eat and shop.
