Set against the dramatic Cambrian Mountains, The Silver Mountain Experience is not your usual day out. - it is a visitor attraction encompassing a 250 year old Victorian mine, exciting Escape Rooms, Mining Museum, Gift Shop and on-site Miner's Rest Cafe.
GUIDED TOURS
Embark on an adventure with a choice of guided tours both above and below ground, discovering the history of our original Victorian Silver-Lead Mine, or experience Welsh fantasy and myth in one of our theatrical experiences.
A Miner’s Life is a guided tour which takes visitors on a fascinating journey through the oldest part of the uniquely preserved silver-lead mine.
Explore Welsh myth and legend in theatrical experiences such as A Dragon’s Tale and the mysterious Black Chasm (not for the very young or faint-hearted!).
MINING MUSEUM
Discover the Mining Museum and let your imagination run wild in Woo Hoo Woods, go gem panning, den building, dig for fossils and much more.

The Silver Mountain Experience is located on the A44 (Aberystwyth - Llangurig (A470) road). It is approximately 11 miles from Aberystwyth and 2 miles from Ponterwyd (A4120) which links to Devils Bridge. Llangurig (A470) is 14 miles away.
It is clearly signposted in the the village of Llywernog, directly opposite the Red Kite Cafe.
The local 525 bus stops on request at the entrance on the A44, with Aberystwyth train station 11 miles away.
