The 2024 Walking Festival - our 10th annual festival - will take place on the first May Bank Holiday, Friday May 3rd to Monday May 6th.

Talgarth ‘Gateway to the Black Mountains’ Walkers are a Welcome Group that was formed in late 2011 and is made up of local businesses, charitable organisations, accommodation providers and passionate walkers and local residents who want to see our town thriving.

We offer walks which guide you through the local history, geology, literature and nature. Explore the area with our knowledgeable leaders who will take you on journeys through the landscape from the wooded dingles to the Black Mountains plateau.
