Join us, if you dare, for a ghoulish evening train ride to Dolgoch Woods. Pre-booking essential.

Make sure you arrive 30 minutes before your train departs.

Please dress appropriately for the weather (little shelter in the woods) and it’s recommended to bring a torch!

Road Directions

Tywyn is on the A493 road from Machynlleth to Dolgellau. Approaching from Aberdyfi, Wharf station is on the left. Coming from Dolgellau, go through the town centre past the National Rail station for 300yds and we are on the right. There is a Large pay & display car park 100 yards away. Parking is also available at Dolgoch and Abergynolwyn stations, located on the B4405 Bryncrug to Talyllyn road.

Accessible by Public Transport: Tywyn station is 0 miles away.

Rheilffordd Talyllyn Railway, TywynHistoric narrow-gauge steam railway set in beautiful, unspoilt southern Snowdonia. Running from Tywyn to Abergynolwyn and Nant Gwernol, the line passes the delightful Dolgoch Falls and there are excellent forest walks at Nant Gwernol.
