Ian Snow - Machynlleth

About

Ian Snow started his business in 1978 selling from a trestle table on Machynlleth market. Since these early days it's now grown into three shops and a small wholesale business, with the main shop situated in Machynlleth.

Ian lived in India for two years in the early seventies and his deep-rooted love of the country continues to this day with twice yearly visits when he develops new products and checks on quality and working conditions.

Many suppliers become family friends because a philosophy of long-term business relationships prvails. There is an ethical statement regarding our imports which is available to anyone on request.

The sheer diversity of the products on sale is one of the reasons for the businesses success.

There are throws, rugs, curtains and cushion covers in traditional and contemporary styles. Clothing ranging from good quality and inexpensive Balinese, Nepalese and Indian items, right up to French Connection and Fenn Wright and Mason with it's exquisite tailoring.

There are aromatherapy oils, books, candles, gifts, games, toys, handmade recycled stationary, incense, glassware, ceramics and cards (many, many cards!), gift wrap, and silver and costume jewellery, New Age & World music and at the Machynlleth shop beautiful colonial style furniture made from Sheesham and Mango Wood.
