TY'R ADAR ("House of the Birds"), PINE COTTAGE, SMALL BARN and LITTLE HAVEN adjoin The Slate Shed B&B at Graig Wen and share the same massive roof of a converted Victorian slate cutting mill which perches above the estuary. Walk straight onto the coastal Mawddach cycle/foot path or explore upland walks in the forest and foothills of Cadair Idris. Fairbourne's sandy, Blue Flag beach, steam railway and shops are 2 miles away and you can walk to Barmouth across the famous bridge. Many attractions within easy reach include: Coed-y-Brenin's challenging mountain bike routes; The Centre for Alternative Technology, Europe's leading eco centre; Portmeirion, setting for the Prisoner TV series, and Harlech Castle. The attractive market town of Dolgellau is just 5 miles away and features an excellent Farmers Market (every 3rd Sunday) as well as a range of traditional and modern shops, cafes and restaurants. SMALL BARN provides modern self-catering facilities and accommodation for 4 people. The spacious 2 bedroom house has a 4 star grading from Visit Wales. The large sun room has recently been refurbished and has views over the Mawddach Estuary and camp site. Lounge has huge TV and Play station. Wifi. New bath/shower room and well equipped kitchen with dishwasher, fridge freezer etc.
PINE COTTAGE has exceptional views over the Mawddach Estuary. The two bedroom house adjoins the other holiday cottages and guest house at Graig Wen. Our small touring camp site is next door. Pine Cottage is rated 4 star by Visit Wales and would suit larger families or groups of friends / mountain bikers.
Pine Cottage can sleep up to 6 people in 2 bedrooms - both have a double bed and one also has bunk beds. It has a fenced patio area with seating overlooking Mawddach estuary - safely enclosed for young children or pets. There is a large open plan kitchen/diner and lounge with dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, large fridge freezer, cooker and microwave. Central heating. Mobile phone reception. Use of BBQ.

Guests can walk down a steep forest track to explore Graig Wen's 45 acres of beautiful woodland and pasture, leading directly to the spectacular Mawddach Estuary. There is direct access to the Mawddach cycle trail/footpath, and we can provide secure storage for bikes. Horse riding, beach, fishing, golf, steam railways, shops and restaurants within 10 minutes drive. Children welcome from any age.

By car: Turn off A470 Dolgellau bypass, and take A493 signposted Tywyn/Fairbourne. Approx 4 miles from Dolgellau look out for solitary post-box on right hand side. Graigwen is approx 200 yards further on brow of slight hill on right hand side.
By bike or foot - direct access from Mawddach Cycle Trail for directions visit www.graigwen.co.uk
By train: Morfa Mawddach station 1 mile away with direct access along Mawddach Trail. We can arrange pick-up (including mountain bikes) or drop off at the station for £5.
By bus: No 28 bus run between Aberystwyth/Machynlleth and Dolgellau - ask driver to drop you at Graig Wen.
