Chatts Cottage is a self catering holiday cottage close to the centre of the picturesque village of Aberdyfi /Aberdovey and within a three minute walk from the harbour and sandy beach. The cottage dates back to 1830, it stands sideways up its own small drive off Church Street, with a short flight of eight steps leading to the front door of the property.

The lounge has an original beamed ceiling, inglenook fireplace and original slate floor, retaining its old world charm. The comfortable seating comprises two large leather settees and a separate armchair. Heating is by way of an attractive stove electric fire and a night storage heater. Complete with LCD TV, DVD AND CD player.

The adjoining fitted kitchen is very well equipped with a fridge with ice box, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, kettle, toaster, a large Stoves electric cooker and electric heating. The large dining table with 8 folding chairs is more than adequate to seat 8 people comfortably. It is complete with a variety of crockery, glassware and kitchen utensils
Traditional upright twisting stairs lead from the lounge to the first floor. The cottage has four bedrooms and sleeps at least 6 guests; however it can sleep 8 if required at additional cost. (Extra guests maximum of 2 permitted with an additional charge of £25 per additional guest per week/short break if this option is selected).

The compact bathroom is located on the landing in between the twin bedroom and the first double bedroom. It comprises a bath with electric shower over W.C. and a heated towel rail. There is also a small W.C. on the ground floor, which is outside near to the front door of Chatts Cottage.

The first bedroom is at the top of the stairs and has separate access with twin single beds, electric storage heating, wash hand basin, shaver socket, a fitted wardrobe and a large chest of drawers. The second bedroom leads from the landing and has a double bed, wash hand basin, shaver socket, storage and hanging space. Please note that this bedroom also leads directly into the next double bedroom. The third bedroom accessed directly from the second bedroom has a double bed, and a large wardrobe with storage space. The fourth bedroom accessed directly from the third bedroom has bunk beds, a wardrobe and storage space, along with a wash hand basin with shaver socket, heating and storage. There is sufficient space for a travel cot to fit in all bedrooms. Chatts Cottage is ideally suited to close friends and families due to the layout of the adjoining bedrooms.

A large balcony is accessed from the second double bedroom through the sliding patio doors. From here there are views of the Dovey estuary to Ynyslas and beyond over the roof tops.

Electricity and Heating is included in the rental by way of gas central heating. Bed linen is also included along with tea towels, oven glove and a bath mat. There is a car parking space on-site for a small – medium size car in addition to one car parking permit for use on either of the Gwynedd Pay & Display car parks in the village, one is on the main sea front and the other is located at Penhelig - approx 5 minutes on foot. Bicycle storage space is available for cyclists only, please ask for details.

Pets are permitted by prior arrangement only. A maximum of 2 small dogs may be allowed at the agents discretion additional cost at £20 each per week/short break. Please contact the agent to book pets in this property.

Towels, cots and high chairs can all be provided at an additional cost – so please enquire.

Centrally located, less than a 2 minute walk to the waters edge. From the A493, turn into Copperhill Street (opposite The Wharf Gardens) this brings you to Chapel Square, look for Dovey Marine (Shop), turn immediately left into Church Street. The cottage is situated at 14 Church Street. After you have passed the Chapel, go past nine small cottages on the left-hand side of the road. After the last cottage, you will see a space in between the buildings. Chatts Cottage is located at the side of this space on the left. The area marked as “Private Parking” is solely for use by Chatts Cottage guests.
