Glansevern Hall Gardens

In 1982 Neville and Jenny Thomas started to develop the gardens, respecting the plantings and features of the past whilst adding a vast collection of new and interesting species - especially herbaceous perennials - and introducing further plantings and features every year. The gardens cover some 25 acres set in wider parkland and on mostly level ground. Although now open to the public, the warm and intimate atmosphere of a family garden has been successfully retained.
The walled garden was entirely remodeled during 2001. It has become a garden of secluded corners and secret places. Not far away, a romantic folly looks down on the River Severn. Various sculptures lend extra interest to a walk through the gardens which are renowned for their variety of unusual trees.
General Information - There is ample free car parking (coaches welcome by prior arrangement). The Lakeside Walk and Water Garden have limited wheelchair access but all other areas, including the Tea Room, are fully accessible. Dogs are welcome, but must be kept on a lead.
