During the mid 19th century improvements in road and later rail travel brought increased numbers of visitors to Aberystwyth wearing the latest fashions of wide skirts on crinolines. For the first time some of these 150 year old dresses from our collection will be on show to the public.

The museum is above a shop in Terrace Road , 100 metres from the sea front.
The main entrance stairs are next to Boot's the Chemists. There is also a staircase and lift to all floors of the museum in the Tourist Information Centre on the corner with Bath Street.
