Riding & Trekking in Mid Wales

From a gentle trek, introducing children to the thrill of horseback riding for the first time to a full riding holiday exploring Mid Wales Wales on horseback is a very special way to truly enjoy the spectacular Mid Wales countryside.

Horseriding for all the Family
Children love the thrill of horseback riding - it's a real adventure for them! In Mid Wales, we have riding centres catering for absolute beginners to experienced riders.

Place to Place Trail Riding
If long-distance trail riding is for you then both the Radnorshire Hills network or the Brecon Beacons offer un-rivalled riding. Whether exploring Mid Wales with your own horse or enjoying the thrill of endurance riding with the help of an experienced guide, there are lots of opportunities for long canters and gallops across flat-topped hills, though some routes can be hilly and there are some steep routes.

A number of trekking centres offer established 2 -5 day rides varying from 5 miles to a fabulous 5 day ride across Wales beginning at the Welsh marches and finishing on the beach.

The Wales Riding & Trekking Association (WRTA) represents tourism related riding businesses and members are involved in a host of activties including riding, trekking, carriage driving, trail riding and livery.
