Dolgun Uchaf is a 500 year old building that started life as a late Medieval Hall House which later became a meeting house for Quakers. The old oak panelling and log fire give this 15 centre hall house a touch of character and charm unique to buildings of this area. Located about 1.50 miles from the market town of Dolgellau, Dolgun Uchaf is a small attractive farm with fabulous views and excellent walks including the famous Torrent Walk that passes only a few hundred metres from the house.

Enjoy a warm welcome at Dolgun from your host Robin and Eleanor which have run the family business over 10 years. Having both lived locally all their life’s, you are able to ask them where to go and about local history of the area. With many of the rooms newly renovated, all the rooms are tastefully decorated and have en suite bathrooms with their powerful showers perfect after a long day walking or mountain biking. All Rooms include:-
• Flat screen TV which include free view.
• Tea and coffee making facilities, which include still water, hot chocolate and biscuits.
• Hair dryers.
• Fridges on request.
• Central heating.
Dolgun has a large lounge area with its fire place and great view of the garden perfect to relaxes and read a book, watch TV or sit and have a cup of tea.

After a peaceful night sleep wake up to a large continental breakfast which includes fruit juice, fruit Cereal, and baked goods. Followed by a welsh cooked breakfast only using the best ingredients to set you up for the day ahead.

Robin and Eleanor recommend a great restaurant Y Sospan in the local town Dolgellau which offer their customers a bit of wales. They use locally sourced produced were possible. Menu will be available in rooms and can book a table on request.
