towns and villages - From Snowdonia to Cardigan Bay

David Bellamy described Mid Wales as ‘a wonderful patchwork of villages, small town, fields, hills, wild bits and not so wild bits. The stone built towns and villages of Southern Snowdonia are very different to the oak framed black and white villages of The Marches.

The seaside towns along Cardigan Bay have a sea-faring history, quite a difference to the market towns in the heart of inland Mid Wales. Each town and village is different, each with its own character reflecting history and life in Mid Wales, present, past and future.
