The Welsh Marches - Market and Spa Towns

Lots of things are thought to be good for your health - fresh air, walking and even taking the waters! We have the fresh air, many, many walks and you can take the waters in the Pump Room at Llandrindod Wells. In June, it's culture and books at The Guardian Hay Festival. In July, the world comes to Builth Wells for the annual Royal Welsh Show and in August - Bog Snorkelling at Llanwrtyd Wells!

The attractive towns of Presteigne and Kington make excellent bases to explore the area. Knighton half way along Offa's Dyke National Trail, is also the start or finish of Glyndwr's Way - depending on which way you walk! Follow the River Wye as makes it way through beautiful scenery. Red Kites wheeling overhead, a rucksack and a picnic of tasty local produce - a perfect way to spend a day.
