There are many listed buildings in the town of Dolgellau. Every month there is a farmer's Market and every summer the Sesiwn Fawr, one of the best music festivals in Wales. Nearby is the world class mountain biking centre in the Coed y Brenin forest. There are is famed for the narrow gauge steam railways - ride on the Talyllyn, Ffestiniog Railways, Bala Lake, Fairbourne and Corris Railways.
