Details

Set in Glansevern Hall’s stunning Georgian courtyard, The Potting Shed Café offers a stylish and friendly place to relax and savour delicious food. Enjoy eating alfresco with beautiful views of the courtyard and glimpses into the lush Walled Garden or, on chillier days, curl up by the cosy log burner with a bowl of warming soup or sink into a sofa with a large cappuccino. Everything about The Potting Shed Café is warm, atmospheric and unique.

Seasonal menus present the highest standard of modern cooking. The inspired fortnightly lunch menus offer delicious and creative food: seasonal soups and salads, gourmet burgers, freshly baked bread and mouth-watering puddings.

For elevenses and afternoon teas, there are mountains of decadent cakes and light, golden scones, so everyone can treat themselves. Glansevern use the finest and freshest produce and are proud to support many local suppliers. Look out for our own heritage vegetables, fruit, herbs and freshly cut flowers from the Walled Garden, along with Monty's Glansevern Heaven Beer.

The Potting Shed Cafe will be hosting a number of summer evening events, such as pop-up wine bars, Pimms barbecues and themed gourmet nights with live music under the stars. For more information about these evenings, keep up with our events pages, or become a Friend of Glansevern to receive monthly updates.

Glansevern’s Chic Shed Shop, also located in the Georgian courtyard and, stocks a beautiful and original selection of garden-inspired gifts and homeware.

The Shop offers a range of items are from little to luxurious: spectacular printed cushions and tea towels from Thornback & Peel; deliciously-scented candles from the St Eval Candle Company; stunning china from Wiggles & Florence; colourful and soft Welsh Tweed gifts from Pentwyn Welsh Tweed, and much, much more.

You do not have to pay Garden Entry to visit The Potting Shed Café or The Chic Shed Shop, which makes Glansevern the ideal place to visit for lunch or coffee, or for shopping for gifts.
