The Old Rectory on the Lake, which has recently undergone a complete makeover, stands on the slopes of Cadair Idris and is on the edge of Talyllyn. This four bedroom property enjoys spectacular views across the lake and to the mountains beyond. The owners of this imposing lakeside residence offer luxurious bed and breakfast accommodation to the discerning visitor to south Snowdonia. The Old Rectory on the Lake attracts walkers, fishermen, mountain bikers, all outdoor enthusiasts and those who simply want to escape and unwind in utter tranquility.
Four course evening meals made with locally sourced fresh ingredients at £30 a head are available for residents but must be booked in advance. We do not offer meals on a Wednesday.

Why not enjoy the ultimate chill out by relaxing in our outdoor hot tub - incredible views by day - an amazing experience by night under the stars especially sipping champagne! Sauna also available!

From Dolgellau take the A470 in a southernly direction. Take the A487 at Cross Foxes Inn & continue along pass. Take right hand turn B4405 (signposted Tywyn) & follow road along lakeside. As you pass Tyn y Cornel Hotel, The Old Rectory can be seen across the water. Turn right at head of lake & continue along single track lane for apprx. 1/4 mile. The Old Rectory on the Lake is on the left (blue illuminations at night).
