Saturday 29 October will include 6 Special Stages of the Wales Rally GB at locations to the north of Machynlleth - at Pantperthog, Dyfi and Gartheiniog but please note, there will be no spectator access to the Pantperthog stages (9 & 12). Stage 10 will be at Dyfi with the first car due at 08:42 and Stage 11 at Gartheiniog (09.21). After a Regroup at Corris (from 10:16), these stages will then be re-run with the first car due back at Dyfi for Stage 13 at 11:20 and Gartheiniog for Stage 14 at 11.56. Refuelling facilities will be at Ceinws. The Rally then heads for Stage 15 at Aberhirnant (south-east of Bala) and Stage 16 at Cholmondeley Castle (15 miles east of Wrexham) which will host the Rallyfest in the afternoon.
The 2016 FIA World Rally Championship consists of 14 rounds taking place on five continents with a round in China for the first time; it started with the Monte Carlo Rally in January and finishes in Australia. The penultimate round will be the Dayinsure Wales Rally GB which will take place in Mid and North Wales from the evening of Thursday 27 through to Sunday 30 October. It will have the longest itinerary in recent years and the 22 special stages (of which 14 will be in Mid Wales) include many of the established classic tests plus some exciting new additions and revisions. The new dates for this year means that the Rally will coincide with schools October half-term week - there will be FREE admission for those aged 15 and under.
The Rally Park Fermé will be at the Deeside Rally Village; the Ceremonial Start for the Rally will take place on Thursday evening in Parc Eirias, Colwyn Bay. Friday 28th will include 8 Special Stages in Mid Wales and Sunday 30th has 6 Special Stages in North Wales with the Ceremonial Finish at Llandudno.
