“Great spot and good facilities, but muddy at times”
We hired the small touring van which was very well equipped and just the job for us as the rest of our family (large group on side of hill) were also there camping.
The van was great and apart from the whiffy toilet all worked well. Not sure what we could have done to stop the smell, pumped loads of blue stuff down it and kept it closed. Also didn't use it for the main event each day.
Great fridge and sufficient untensils, TV that worked!, all round very happy.
Also noted there was always paper towels etc in the toilets, not a British tradition but makes a big difference. Wifi was a bit variable.
I think given the vagaries of the weather and the not so free draining parts of the hill more hardcore and a but more hardstanding would be a good idea. The field where the family were staying very quickly turned into a bog. Unusual rain I know but if there is somewhere to park vehicles...
Thanks, Regards, Clive James

Thank you for your review. We were not aware that there was a problem with the toilet at the tourer as no one has mentioned this before. When we are made aware of a problem we will do our best to sort it immediately.
The Wi fi has not been as successful as we hoped mainly because of our rural location and the number of trees breaking up the signal. We will look into this again to see whether there is any way we can improve this facility.
This season we've had a lot of rain and some areas of the campsite did become muddy mostly because of vehicles going back and forth. We were not aware of the size of your family campers vans, usually larger vehicles are offered hard standing with electric, but as your group had a mix of tents and vans and wished to camp together this was not a possibility. Once it stops raining the field dries out quickly. Despite the wet weather at the beginning of the week I believe everyone had a good time.
