Details

Llanon (or Llan-non) is a village in Ceredigion on the Cardigan Bay coast, 11 miles south-west of Aberystwyth and 5 miles north-east of Aberaeron on the A487. It is named after the church of Saint Non, the mother of Saint David who was born about 500 AD and, by tradition, was brought up here.

In the village there are ruins known as Neuadd which was probably an important Tudor building and nearby is one of the last surviving cottages in west Wales with original straw rope underthatch. The cottage is open to the public on some afternoons in August.
