Llanidloes & District Angling Association was formed in 1921 and manages the fishing on Llyn Clywedog, one of the most scenic attractions in Mid Wales and only 4 miles from Llanidloes. The lake is stocked with over 18,000 Rainbow Trout and 9,000 Brown Trout, of the highest quality, every season.
The season begins for both Rainbows and Browns on March 18th. The Brown Trout season finishes on 7th October with the Rainbows closing on the 30th November.
There are regular competitions held each year such as the European Bank Competition in June and Angling Clubs are also welcome to hold their own Bank or Boat competitions on the lake by arrangement with the Club Secretary.
