Write here. Write now.
The next chapter of your writing journey starts here. Write that story you’ve had inside you for ages. Pick up that project you set aside, or take the one you’ve been working on to the next stage. This women's retreat is an intensive creative experience for those who want to learn more about writing and how to improve on their work. Beginners and experienced writers are welcome.
The workshop is led by long time development editor and multi-published author Victoria Villasenor, and multi-published author and photographer, Nicci Robinson. Together, they’ll deliver a workshop each morning dedicated to a different element of craft, as well as immediate feedback on quick-writing sessions designed to get your creativity flowing. We’ll start looking at writing on a broad scale and by the end of the week, we’ll be discussing the next steps to take toward publishing. Breakfast and a gourmet light lunch are provided each day as well.
Throughout the week there’s one-to-one coaching and support available. And there’s a great outing planned too! We’ll head to restored Cardigan castle and indulge in some local cafe fare. Weather dependent, there may be a few other outings available as well!
Optional good stuff:
If you’re interested in photography, Nicci would be happy to provide tutorials during the week, or maybe see if you can catch a boat out to see the dolphins!* *cost extra
And, if your partner wants to come but isn’t a writer, they’re welcome to join you for a nominal supplement. There’s plenty for them to do—stroll down to the beach, visit local National Trust sites, see Cenarth Falls, or visit the local antiques shops. Or they can just relax and unwind with a good book! (Maybe even yours!).
The Retreat Package includes:
- Daily workshops and critiques, plus handouts and writing packs
- One-to-one sessions offering personalized writing feedback
- Accommodation in a gorgeous individual room
- Three delicious vegetarian meals per day
- At least one outing to a local point of interest
"Vic and Nic’s teaching approach suits the way I learn. Non-threatening, sensitive to individuals within the group and professional. Would recommend and repeat this and similar courses ~ Wendy"
