The National Library of Wales - A spectacular venue in one of Wales' most iconic buildings that stands proudly above the the coastal town of Aberystwyth, Mid Wales.

The National Library of Wales is one of the great libraries of the world. Built in the early part of the 20th century the Library offers splendid views overlooking the town, the castle and Cardigan Bay. The glorious building offers a spectacular backdrop to for your business event, exhibition or meeting.

VENUE HIRE OPTIONS

The National Library of Wales offers a wide range of services to suit your conference and meeting requirements and you can hire technical equipment from the Library for the following rooms:

The Drwm - Multi-media auditorium (max 98 delegates)
The Drwm meets accessibility requirements and is located on the ground floor. Buffet or tea and coffee can be pre-ordered in the atrium outside the Drwm.

The Council Chamber (Max 60 delegates)
2 lifts nearby convenient for users with mobility difficulties and for moving material to your conference.  Buffet or tea and coffee can be pre-ordered.

The President’s Room (Max 12 persons)

John Herbert Lewis room (Max 12 persons)
Room for up to 15 seated boardroom style. 2 nearby lifts, facilitating access and transport of goods. Food and drink to be served in the room can be ordered in advance.

Beatrice Davies room (Max 8 persons)
Room for up to 8 seated boardroom style. 2 nearby lifts, facilitating access and transport of goods. Food and drink to be served in the room can be ordered in advance.

Gruffydd John Williams room (Max 8 persons)

Public Transport Directions

Aberystwyth train station is located 1 mile away with local transport linking the train station and campus as well as longer distances.

The 03 Bus service runs every 30 mins during term time and every hour non-term time starting at the town's bus station and travelling up Penglais Hill to the Library.
