Self catering holiday cottage in Aberdovey. Pet friendly. This charming self catering holiday cottage is snuggled into one of the little streets in Aberdovey and only a two or maybe three minute walk to the harbour, or 30 seconds if using the steps down to Sea View Terrace. The compact terraced area at the front of Anchor Cottage has become a popular place with our guests to sit outside on a warm summers evening, and enjoy a glass of wine or two!

The cottage has been lovingly restored to retain its original features, the beamed ceiling, slate floor and the original bread oven which was found set deep in the thick walls of the characteristic fireplace during the renovation. The open plan lounge and kitchen is very well equipped and a real home from home. Seating is by way of a two seater settee and two arm chairs, with a dining table and four chairs. A gas log burner effect fire in the lounge and radiators throughout ensure that this cottage is never cold. Complete with LCD TV and a CD/DVD player. The fitted kitchen is at the rear of the lounge, it has a dishwasher, electric hob, and oven, extraction, fridge and freezer and microwave oven. There are an abundance of utensils, crockery, cutlery and glassware, kettle and toaster.

A flight of stairs leads from the lounge to the first floor. At the top of the landing is the laundry room which houses a washing machine, tumble dryer, iron and ironing board. Further along the landing is the bathroom, tiled throughout with bath and power shower over, complete with wash hand basin and W.C. electric shaver socket and lighting.

The two bedrooms are situated upstairs further along the landing. With partial sea views from the master bedroom which is at the front of the cottage, it has a comfortable double bed, with pine wardrobe and drawers for storage. A travel cot will fit in this bedroom at the foot of the bed if required. The second bedroom is at the rear of the property with 3ft wide solid pine bunk beds and a wardrobe and storage space. The bunk-beds are sturdy and suitable for both adults and children alike. It is not possible to fit a travel cot in the bunk-bedroom with the door closed. Extra guests (maximum of 2) may also use the sofa bed in the lounge by prior arrangement only. An additional charge of £25 per additional guest per week/short break will apply if this option is selected.

The rear of the property is enclosed and it leads to a small seating area up a short flight of steps. It’s been enjoyed by many of our regular guests as a quiet spot to take in the sun and read a book.

Electricity and Heating throughout is included in the rental by way of gas central heating. Bed linen is also included along with tea towels, oven glove and a bath mat. One car parking permit is provided for use on either of the Gwynedd Pay & Display car parks in the village, one is on the main sea front and the other is located at Penhelig - approx 5 minutes on foot.

Towels, cots and high chairs can all be provided at an additional cost – so please enquire.

Pets are permitted by prior arrangement only. A maximum of 2 dogs allowed at additional cost at £20 each per week/short break. Please contact the agent to book pets in this property
