Details

Gwledd fynyddol o bysgod ar harbwr Aberaeron.

An annual feast of fish at Aberaeron Harbour. The festival was established by a group of local fishermen in 1997 to show what fish was available locally and how fish can be prepared. It aimed at demystifying fish and shellfish and increase demand of such a local product, that was increasingly rarely sampled in the homes of local people.

At the annual festival visitors get a chance to watch chefs prepare local fish and sample dishes that they can then attempt at home. Local lobster, crab, mackerel, mullet, sea bass and much more ,get cooked in all different styles.

Chefs demonstrating close up on their stoves on the quay is one of the highlights of our Festival. Get close up, ask those questions you always wanted to know. Watch them in action. Taste their fish dishes. Get new ideas. Chefs at this year's Festival include Gareth Ward*, Ynyshir Hall, Eglwysfach; Stephen Terry, The Hardwick, Abergavenny; Hywel Jones*, Lucknam Park, Colerne, Bath; Dudley Newbury, Miskin Arms, Miskin, Pontyclun; Gareth Johns, The Wynnstay, Machynlleth; Ludo Dieumegard, Harbourmaster, Aberaeron; Sue Mason, Y Polyn, Nantgaredig; Will Holland, Coast, Saundersfoot; Stuart Phillips, The Hundred House Hotel; Bryan Webb*, Tyddyn Llan, Llandrillo. * Denotes current Michelin starred chef.
